Milling
In metalworking, milling like turning is a basic part of metal-cutting production technology. Through modern production techniques, drilling and thread-cutting jobs re also classed under milling. The classic task of milling is shaping to the highest possible standard. Milling is divided into two major groups: conventional and CNC – controlled milling machines. A tool resembling a spiral drill but only with a different cutter geometry than that used for drilling is applied with a rotary motion to the workpiece and removes chips there.
