Pressure forming

Pressure forming, like all other shaping processes such as draw/press forming or draw forming, is subject to DIN norms. For pressure forming, a distinction is drawn between various production processes. These are rolling, open-die forging, closed-die forming, indentation forming and extrusion. Common to all these is that pressure is applied during the process. The tool exerts a pre-set pressure on the workpiece and thus changes its original shape.
